<pre><code class="language-markdown">PatioPlanner tiles your real outline with the real pattern and counts every piece: full stones, half stones you can buy ready-made, and the ones you cut on site.

Start with a rectangle, then add and drag vertices until the polygon matches your patio. Several surfaces fit on one drawing, each with its own pattern. Pick the stone family first: rectangular pavers offer running bond, herringbone, basket weave, stretcher bond and diagonal, and mixed formats unlock Opus Romano, ashlar in four sizes, windmill and multi-format herringbone. Patterns that aren't in the library can be built in the Pattern Designer.

The optimizer tries slightly different joint widths and surface sizes and shows the cut count for each option. Pick a load class and the shopping list adds base and bedding by volume and weight, curbstones, mortar, joint filler and the excavation depth. Print it or save it as a PDF, PNG or share link. On site, the laying guide on your phone shows the next stone and the cuts coming up.

All calculations run in the browser. Projects are saved in local storage, there's no account and nothing is uploaded.
